Beginning from January 1, 2007, Tbilisi Metro will offer passengers a convenient form of fare payment – a plastic card. Such contactless cards will make it possible for passengers to save the time of waiting at the booking office, making the travel by Tbilisi Metro far more comfortable. 

Besides, after the uniform transport network of Tbilisi has been created, it will be possible to pay travel fare in any public transport by means of one plastic card. This, in turn, will help determine the movement of passenger flows in Tbilisi, rush hours and the optimal quantity of transport vehicles to ultimately facilitate a faster travel of passengers from one point of the city to another.
