Tbilisi Metro attaches great importance to security. For this purpose, Tbilisi Metro is introducing both modern systems and takes series of organizational measures. Metro employees and Patrol Police officers regularly control stations, trains and passengers.

To strengthen safety, from time to time Metro employees go through workshops and trainings in emergency management, providing for preventive measures against terrorist acts and criminal actions.

To provide for safety, Metro stations are equipped with a television system, by means of which the entire perimeter of a station is controlled with the help of video cameras. The Central Office of Metropolitan processes and keeps the video information received from stations, identifies and reacts to violations. Besides, by means of the system the station officer in duty can control, right from his workplace (immediately from the station) passenger movement and train movement in the station. If necessary, the station officer in duty can promptly call in Patrol Police and ambulance service.
