The train fleet of Tbilisi Metro consists of 199 carriages, including 156 in operation out of which 120 carriages (30 trains) serve Akhmeteli-Varketili Line and the remaining 36 cars (12 trains) – Saburtalo Line.

The majority of the carriages being in operation were purchased in the nineties of the past century. The modernization of the carriages started in 2005. By 2009 Tbilisi Metro will have a completely modernized train fleet.
